WHO IS SOPHIE BOLTON?
Sophie Bolton | 20 | London Based Artist
In the year 2013 I was awarded my Level 4 Foundation Degree for Art & Design where I specialized in Illustration and Graphic Design. I am presently studying at The University of Portsmouth where I decided to further my education studying Illustration; I’ll be graduating in 2016.
I first found my inspiration when starting to draw comic characters (which you will find in the miscellaneous collection.) That is where I found my assured style, using an ink pen and the Adobe suit. Since being at university I have found my style adapting to inspiration of contemporary works I have found along the way.
My biggest artist inspirations for my work would have to be; Edward Gorey, Bernie Wrightson and Frank Miller. Much like these artists I like to keep my artwork black and white, I do however use colour when necessary.
